Mr. Tufail has extensive civil engineering consulting experience, including public works and infrastructure projects with the City of Houston, Harris County, and Fort Bend County. He has worked on engineering design, production supervision, and construction oversight for a variety of commercial sites, residential land development, and public infrastructure projects. His work with the City of Houston involves coordinating with city departments to ensure compliance with municipal standards and requirements for water supply, wastewater collection, roadways, and storm drainage systems.
As the Engineer of Record for several Municipal Utility Districts (MUDs), Mr. Tufail participates in monthly Board of Directors meetings and represents the MUDs in coordinating engineering efforts with public agencies and private entities. He ensures all agency standards and requirements are met. His expertise includes preparing bond application reports, surplus fund release reports, capital improvement plans, emergency preparedness plans, elevated storage tank waivers, water pressure studies, and various other district-specific tasks. He has also performed conceptual, preliminary, and final design of water supply distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, transfer and treatment facilities, roadways, and storm drainage and detention systems.
His valuable insight into public agency processes and ability to secure approvals for public works and infrastructure projects further highlight his capabilities as a leader in the industry.
