HYDROLOGY/ HYDRAULICS ENGINEER-IN-TRAINING

This position is responsible for helping our Water Resources leadership with project delivery.

HYDROLOGY/ HYDRAULICS ENGINEER-IN-TRAINING

Job Duties

  • Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models

  • Develop hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, and designs

  • Assist in the preparation of reports, documentation and exhibits to support analysis

  • Prepare application packages for submittal to agencies

  • Address comments, coordinate with governing agencies, obtain report approvals

  • Attend and contribute to project progress meetings

  • Feasibility investigations

  • Learn and develop skill sets

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent

  • Texas Registered E.I.T. preferred (must pass within 1 year of employment)

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills

  • Highly motivated to meet client deadlines

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Adaptable and eager to learn tasks outside of previous skill set or experience

Software

  • HEC-RAS preferred

  • HEC-HMS preferred

  • XP-SWMM or similar software preferred

  • GIS experience (ArcMap/Pro) preferred

  • MS Word, Excel (with formulas), Outlook, and PowerPoint preferred.

  • AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred
