ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER – SITE DEVELOPMENT

The Assistant Project Manager – Site Development supports the Team Lead and CAD Coordinators with the coordination and execution of site development projects. This role focuses on supporting fast-paced, quick-turnaround site projects through strong organization, communication, and technical assistance.

Job Duties

  • Assist the Team Lead with the coordination and execution of site development projects
  • Support CAD Coordinators by assisting with plan setup, file organization, and addressing CAD-related review comments
  •  Support preparation of project scopes, schedules, and work plans as needed
  •  Willingness to collaborate and support other departments and project teams
  •  Assist with CAD design efforts, including plan preparation and addressing review comments under the direction of the Team Lead and Engineers
  •  Coordinate with internal teams including engineering, CAD, H&H, and construction administration to ensure timely and accurate deliverables
  •  Track project progress and communicate status to the Team Lead
  •  Prepare and organize submittals, exhibits, and supporting documentation
  •  Assist in responding to permitting and agency review comments
  •  Participate in client and consultant coordination, including meeting preparation and follow-ups
  •  Maintain organized project files and documentation
  •  Support QA/QC efforts to ensure plans and documents are accurate and complete
  •  Proactively communicate issues or constraints to the Team Lead

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  •  3–6 years of experience in civil engineering with a focus on site development projects
  •  EIT certification required
  •  Working knowledge of grading, drainage, utilities, and paving design
  •  Familiarity with local permitting and review processes preferred
  •  Strong organizational and time-management skills
  •  Effective written and verbal communication skills
  •  Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  •  Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-paced setting

Software

  • AutoCAD Civil 3D – Required
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) – Required
  •  Bluebeam – A plus
